Great News!

Great News! My CT scan results have come back clear. There are no new signs of disease and the tumour markers were normal.

As you can no doubt imagine we are all very relieved and pleased by the results and it’s a huge weight off of our minds. You try not to let things worry you but in the week or so between the scan and getting the results it constantly plays on your mind.

So we have a whole year to make plans for now!

Cant wait....

  4. Hi Psalm 23,
Thank you for making contact, it's always great to meet new people.
I am really sorry to hear that your son has been diagnosed with PMP. The point when you are first diagnosed and the build up to the operation is a very difficult time indeed both for the family and the patient too. I'm sure you are in great hands. The surgical teams do a fantastic job. I have now been through the operation twice and have been lucky enough to come out of it feeling very well. I am back caving and run three times a week. It does take time and there are some small adjustments that I have had to make but I am fighting fit and feeling well. I understand just how you are all feeling right now but hopefully you can see that in time with a little bit of luck and a positive attitude there is no reason why your son wont find himself in the same position.
In the mean time if you have any questions or feel I can help in some way then please just ask.I would be more than willing to help.
Sending positive vibes from the UK......

    Dave

  5. I have just been diagnosed with PMP. 2 weeks ago to be exact. Found out about the appendix because of an ovarian tumor and ascites during an explore lap. I will start my medication to control it in 2 weeks.
